Membership

Membership is open to any adult (18 or over), of any tradition, who is willing to work in an interfaith environment, respect traditions not their own, encourage each person to find the faith that moves them, and diligently seeks to create a world of harmony and justice. See any Trustee or the Treasurer to pay for dues if you are a first time member, as we will need to see you face-to-face at an event we hold. We are not a mail-order church.

Children are welcome to participate in any event with their parents or legal guardians, but are not voting members until adulthood. The cost for a child is $30.00 per year to be in the database, but they MUST have a signed statement from their parent or designated guardian to participate, and the parent or designated guardian must be present at the event.

Membership is self-selected. Membership induction is by actually showing up to an event and involving yourself in activities and being a part of the process. We are a task-oriented association, encouraging all of our groups to go to our many activities. The start of new groups are always encouraged. You don’t see what you want to be happening, make a proposal and bring it to a business meeting. We hold meetings twice a year (Annual in the Spring, Retreat in the Fall), so that people’s voices are heard. You don’t have skills, there are other people who can contribute, but without ideas and visions, nothing is accomplished.

We are changing our PayPal account, so please send a check or money order. If you are a renewing member, you will be sent a notice. Dues are annual, payable as of January of any year. To be eligible to vote in a business meeting, you must be current 30 days prior to the business meeting.

Please note that renewals are for a full year, not part years. Though one can pay a part year when one first joins, the intent is to support throughout the year, not simply a small amount.

Clergy DUES

Clergy in good standing are expected to be paid members (either annual or lifetime). Ordination is for life, but licensure is annual and includes ongoing education.

Dues can be paid at any business meeting, Fellowship-sponsored event, or any event at which Ecumenicon Fellowship has an outreach table (such as Darkover, Sacred Space or other events) or by form This way we associate a name with a face and the fact that you actually showed up. ADULT ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP - $60.00

CHILD ANNUAL LISTING - $30.00
(Children under 18 are not eligible for voting membership)

ADULT 9-month Membership
- $45.00 (April 1 - January 1)

ADULT 6-month Membership
- $30.00 (July 1 - January 1)

ADULT 3-month Membership
- $15.00 (October 1 - January 1)

Lifetime Membership - $900

Lifetime membership should be considered only if you have been a part of the Fellowship for at least 5 years so that you have been a part of committees, helped to organize events, and are willing to ensure support over a lifetime of policy decisions. We are examining policy on Ecumenicon involvement so that a life-time membership is not something done quickly.

PLANNING

Ecumenicon runs as an open forum communicating mostly through our Web site and our yahoogroups forum. If you wish to teach, learn, communicate, create, pursue a spiritual or nature-based activity which you believe others would enjoy, do not hesitate to contact the Trustees and other members with a brainstorm. If it is within our mission, we will try to find a way to support you. Activities that have a monetary cost, or that require a space rental will have to have a clear presentation so that we can best review it.

The Trustees communicate almost daily, and we have various groups meeting in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio meeting every week. Stay tuned.

If you wish to chat with other members of the Fellowship, go to the Ecumenicon Fellowship forum on Facebook and ask to join.
