GRIEF COUNSELING FOR CLERGY
Saturday, October 30, 2010
9:30 am - 4:30 pm
THE BODY MIND AND SPIRIT OF TRAUMA
An Intensive Workshop
Presented by Duane Bowers, LPC
1629 K Street, Suite 300
Washington, DC 20006
This workshop will utilize presentation, discussion and interaction venues to look in depth at the affect of trauma on an individual. It will explore how trauma affects an individual’s neuro-chemistry, neuro-networks, physio-chemistry and body function. This is the basis to understanding why individuals behave as they do when traumatized. The workshop will also explore the impact trauma has on the individual’s belief system, and their connection to that which is larger than themselves. Finally, the workshop will explore ways that those around the victim of trauma can help support them physically, mentally and spiritually. This workshop is recommended specifically for those who are supportive to victims of trauma, and for those who may have experienced trauma in the past and want to better understand their physio/neuro/spiritual responses.
COST: is $65 for this 6-hour intensive
