Teaching through Ecumenicon

THINK ABOUT NEXT YEAR!!!

For all of you who are interested in teaching at any time during the year, please submit a teaching proposal.

We are working toward multiple teaching forums, so having a submittal available for follow-up is always in order.

We offer an Esoteric Track at Darkover Science Fiction Convention, monthly at various homes by arrangement, and will be starting correspondence and on-line classes.

Experienced teachers for children and teens are especially sought.

Drummers and other musical activities especially welcome. We sponsor an annual drumming circle at Samhain/Halloween at the Jefferson Memorial on the Mall in Washington, DC.

DEADLINES FOR SUBMITTAL:

1) For an at-home ritual or workshop - 30 days - This gives us time to get it into the system. If the class is offered for a fee, a portion of the class fee must go to Ecumenicon Fellowship for it to be a part of our ongoing CEU program.

2) For an Interfaith Conference ritual or workshop - December 1 of the year before so December 1, 2008 for March 2009. Classes are judged first-come-first-served, and multiple class submittals (3 or more in a series) are considered earlier rather than later. If proposing more than 3 classes, make every effort to get your classes in by September 1.

3) For an on-line workshop - 60 days - This gives us time to code it into the system, determine its CEU level and put it into the curriculum database. All on-line courses are considered fee for service and a portion of the fee must be directed to Ecumenicon Fellowship to cover accreditation expenses. Long-term accreditation will eventually cost $500 per Intensive for the initial assessment, so consider appropriate class fees to help toward that end. Consider your own costs, and the minimum amount you need for books, supplies, and any course materials a student may need.
