ANNA SARA FIRE - Interfaith Minister

AIR ALTAR - Each of the altars was set up to honor the various traditions that are part of Anna Sara’s life.

FIRE ALTAR - the artwork strongly resembles a Veve (spirit diagram) for Oshun, Orisha of Love. The altar artwork was fashioned without knowing anything about the African traditions.

WATER ALTAR - The waves of the sea flow across the table with Sirena, the Mermaid, a symbol of Yemaya, the Orisha of the Ocean.

EARTH ALTAR & ECUMENICON ALTAR - The image of Green for earth, a Brown candle from one tradition and Ecumenicon’s multi-faith altar behind it.

FAIRY ALTAR - The fairy altar features fairies, gnomes, and a gate into the “other” world.

GLBT - QUEER ALTAR - symbols of power showing GLBT people standing between men - Elegwa and women Yemaya as the Orisha Inle, who stands between the worlds.
